Nowell Solish, MD, FRCP(C), Dermatologist, Toronto
Dr. Solish is a recognized and respected specialist in the field of cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Solish graduated as a dermatologist from the University of Toronto and subsequently specialized in surgical dermatology at the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia. He is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Toronto, and President of the Canadian Society for Dermatologic Surgery. In addition to being Director of the Cosmetic Care and Laser Surgery Centre, Dr. Solish is Director of the Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Clinic and the Laser Surgery Unit at Women's College Hospital, and Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Toronto.
Academically, Dr. Solish is responsible for planning the surgical dermatology curriculum at the University of Toronto. Widely published in peer-reviewed journals, he lectures regularly on dermatologic surgery techniques both nationally and abroad, having spoken in England, Sweden and the United States. He is also regularly asked to comment on his areas of specialization in the media. Interviews with Dr. Solish have appeared on ABC News, Global Television News, CBC Radio and CityTV, among other outlets. He currently sits on the medical advisory for international medical devices companies, Allergan and Medicis.
David J. Goldberg, MD Board Certified Dermatologist, New York City
David J. Goldberg, M.D. is recognized nationally and internationally for his innovative work with skin lasers, cosmetic dermatology and facial rejuvenation techniques. A board-certified dermatologist who has been in practice since 1985, he has treated patients and taught doctors throughout the world in the use of these cutting-edge technologies.. Under his direction, Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey has been a pioneer in making skin laser and cosmetic dermatology technologies available to the public.
Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He is a clinical professor and director of Laser Research in the department of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Goldberg has published over 125 academic papers and has contributed to over 10 academic textbooks. He has authored textbooks on laser dermatology, laser hair removal, laser facial rejuvenation, photodamaged skin and skin wrinkle fillers. He has also co-authored two books for the general public: Light Years Younger and Secrets of Great Skin.
Dr. Goldberg is active in professional societies and was elected president of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery. He has also served as chairperson of the Ethics Committees of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has sat on the board of directors of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Goldberg was recently elected to the board of directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and Secretary to the board of directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He also serves as a co-vice-president of the Skin Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Goldberg was the first recipient of the prestigious Leon Goldman award, named after the founder of laser surgery. Additionally, Dr. Goldberg was named one of the “Top Ten Laser Surgeons in the U.S.” by Self magazine, one of the “Best Doctors in America" by Woodward/White, Inc., a “Best Doctor in America” by Best Doctors Inc. and one of the “Best Dermatologists in New Jersey” by New Jersey Monthly
Dr. Henry Chan
Dr. Henry Chan is a private dermatologist and currently the Honorary Professor of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong; Visiting Scientist of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA; and Visiting Professor of the Fudan University, Shanghai, People republic of China. He was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Dermatology and Venereology (2003 – 2005 & 2007 – 2009) and the Secretary General of the Asian Dermatological Association (1999 – present).
Dr. Chan has headed the academic division of both The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong and since 1997, he has been the Honorary Consultant Dermatologist of Hong Kong Hospital Authority. He has published or accepted to be published over 200 articles including 1 book, 21 book chapters and 106 peers review international indexed publications. He is the Associate Editor of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, and serves on the editorial board of several other international journals including the Dermatologic Surgery; Lasers in Medical Science, Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy and Skinmed for Clinician.
Dr. Chan is actively involved with the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and is the only Asian that has been session chairman for 3 ASLMS annual meetings. He was the recipient of the 2002 ASLMS Presidential Citation for his contribution to laser surgery.
Dr. Chan has been invited as speaker at several prestigious meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting; the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Annual Meeting; Japanese Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Annual Meeting; International Society of Dermatology Annual Meeting; International Master Course in Aging Skin and International Academy for Cosmetic Dermatology Annual Meeting. His other professional associations include Fellow and Standing Committee Member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery; Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow; Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Colin Hong
Dr. Colin Hong practises plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Toronto. He has extensive experience in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, Microvascular Surgery and Hair Transplant Surgery and is an active member of the American and Canadian Societies of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Canadian Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. A board certified Plastic Surgeon in both Canada and the United States, Dr. Hong is a past President of the Ontario Society of Plastic Surgery and a former Chief of Plastic Surgery for the Rouge Valley Health System. Dr. Hong received his surgical training at the University of Toronto, McMaster University, University of Manitoba, SUNY Buffalo and the University of Hawaii. Dr. Hong is the current Director of the Cosmetic Surgery Centre.
